Black Jade with Brown Zircon and Diamonds Pendant

Dark Star Pendant - David carved the black jade including the bale and set the 3.14 ct round brilliant cut Brown Zircon in a 14 k yellow gold bezel. The diamonds, radiating from the center total .21 carats.

Bernd Munstiener cut Tourmaline set in Black Jade

Another remarkable stone by master stone cutter Bernd Munsteiner, this one a most beautiful green Tourmaline, which David surrounded in his favorite carving material, Black Jade. For his contribution, he mimicked the design of the original stone and added a green tourmaline cabochon and blue sapphire.

Blue Chalcedony Cloud Pendant

David was thinking of Oregon grey blue skies and fluffy white clouds. He designed this pendant with that in mind and set a large round cabochon blue chalcedony on center with a "bullet cab" shape chalcedony - a drop of water? The back is an openwork design of clouds. The pendant is $2400.00. This pendant is shown on a 18" 18k yellow gold chain. The chain is $1400.00

Carved Dendritic Quartz with Orange Moonstone Pin

This remarkable piece of quartz had dendrite "trees" in the foreground. David carved a gold mountain scene to frame the stone with the setting orange sun above, using a remarkable moonstone. Below, articulated, he completed the thought with a band of diamonds and cabochon tourmalines, the earth below.

Crazy Lace Agate Pendant

One in a million, this piece of crazy lace agate. It was in our collection for a number of years, until I showed it to a very perceptive client. Look closely, Buddha sits peacefully in the garden in the stone. David designed the continuation of the garden with the tree above and roots below reaching into the black jade tongue. He finished it with the black jade bale. David still bemoans the day I allowed it to travel out of our reaches.

Galactic Star Nest Pendant

Imagine the magic moment when gazing into the heavens you see the remnant cloud of an exploding star! This pendant is the statement of that magic moment. Carved jade above represents the roiling black space from which stars are born. It is studded with diamonds and sapphires. The stone below is ocean jasper. The back, the "grove of trees on earth below". 14k yellow gold.

Beach Glass Pendant with Carnelian

You know those moments when you are together with your best friend and you find a treasure...this is the story on these two beautiful pieces of beach glass. One piece was found at the beginning of the trail on the west side of Vancouver Island - and the second was found at the end of the trail...amazing! David was commissioned to create a piece as a surprise for the fellows best friend, a memory of their journey. She loves it!

Proposal Amulet

Hiking in Northern California, a young couple vowed their love and proposed a long and happy life together. David was presented with a raw stone, a lump of granite and asked to create an amulet. Though the stone was extremely hard, he was able to cut a slab and polish it brightly. The design motif resonates the mountain and the spessertite garnet, the rising sun, a new day. We are so very lucky to be part of these lives.

Ruby Diamond Pendant

This custom pendant featured a beautiful ruby set in a disc of diamonds, the glowing lights of Mars. On the back David carved the earth below, rows of trees on the hillside.

"Tory" Gate Neckpiece

Our lovely client brought some unusual, beautiful stone and asked David to help design a neckpiece to wear on her own strand of Labradorite cylinder shaped beads. In 18 kt peach gold, David designed this piece using: on top, a tongue shape cabochon cut Holly Blue Agate, next and Ammolite in which he set a transitional cut Diamond, beside that he cut a cabochon Chalcedony, then below, a Labradorite and last a blue sapphire. The piece has an openwork design on the back and two figure 8 foldovers to accept the beaded necklace.
